A Modest Proposal for an Experiment in “ART”

“Me” version 1

I’m tempted to sell myself as an NFT.

I mean that’s the logical conclusion of Art History, right?

That’s where Yoko Uno including a scissors in her performance and unrestrained internet silliness combine to lead to a most absurd conclusion, right?

So place a bid. Go on. Wouldn’t you like to buy the virtual version of, well, me?

Suicide as Art would have more integrety. But Dan Whatshisface already did that.

Is this where art has lead too? It’s a little sad and deeply disturbing.

Maybe somebody else can do it, sell their digital self. Maybe I don’t have to.

But I thought of it first.

I just don’t want fame that badly, I suppose.

I already know that this will be a thing, just like I knew that memes would be the new revolutionary artform in 2014, and look: Internet Cat sold for how much? Exactly.

Nuts.

Should I sell myself? How about we crowdsource this decision.

Let’s get some audience engagement up in this joint!

Just vote yes or no …

Should I sell my “self” as an NFT

(I mean, what is the self but a collection of memes .. according to Blackmore .. anyways?

… let’s find out)

?
